Summer is here and with it comes a whole host of downtown events and festivals. From Old Settlers Days to the JA Car Show and more, Downtown Columbia City will be hopping with excitement. The Farmer’s Market is also a great part of the summer in Downtown. Every Saturday vendors selling crafts, jewelry, food and veggies will be around the square awaiting your arrival.  Here in Columbia City, we focus on growing our community through economic and community development opportunities. We look for ways to bring people together to enjoy life with one another. We incorporate experiences at our playgrounds, museums, ball fields, and courthouse lawn for those moments when no iPad or iPhone can get in the way of being neighbors. We partner with local and regional businesses to provide additional employment opportunities to our current and future residents. We look for ways to turn an old, dilapidated building into something that won’t be a drag on the neighborhood, nor the economy. The point of the matter is that our community is an expanding community because we invest in the quality of life of our residents.
